Gio is very kind and great at hair cuts for guys. I have longer hair and he knows how to make it look natural and not like a buzz cut. Great conversations too plus drinks
Derek is Amazing!!! I went in for some highlights as a blonde and he went above and beyond after I had a consultation with him last week. He’s so precise and accommodating as to what I had asked for. 5 stars to Derek! He’s so sweet and def knows what he’s doing with colors 🥰✌🏻

I have been a loyal customer for 3 years, they have always been late, never the other way around. Today I got stuck inside the A train underground for over an hour with no cell service, completely outside my control. I had to get out at a different stop, and the second I resurfaced, I called to say I was on my way, but was still marked a no-show and charged in full. To make it worse, they’d changed my appointment time without asking me first, and I was also charged about $70 more than the price I was quoted online when I booked the appointment. Given my history here, I expected more understanding for a situation I genuinely couldn’t help.
I’ve referred at least six friends to this place over the past two years, but today was the absolute last straw. I had an emergency come up because of the rain the streets were flooded so I got there late, Instead of working with me, they charged my card the full service on the spot. When I asked if they could make a one-time exception given my perfect attendance history and reschedule, the receptionist read the cancellation policy off a card like a robot.
Went for a simple hair cut/blow out and left VERY disappointed. Finished with my hair being sticky, heavy & full of product. Choppy face framing & incredibly uneven layers.
I had the best experience at Shampoo Ave B with Meagan! Meagan listened to exactly what I was looking for and executed perfectly. She was professional and efficient, while also making me feel comfortable at the same time. I would recommend this salon to everyone!

First time getting a haircut in NYC. Went here based on a recommendation from someone I met. The salon was clean and Cassie understood exactly what I wanted and was happy to adjust when I requested my hair be shorter. Definitely worth going to and I will be back!

I love this place! It's the perfect high-low option in NYC. Not too expensive, but a super quality, professional salon. I love Alexandra but have been to several stylists and have never been disappointed.

Love love loveeeeeee PJ. My knight in shining armor he is amazing at his craft and truly cares about his clients. I am a lived in blonde and have a tough time trusting hairdressers, and PJ passes the test with flying colors. I recommend to all!!!! But don't over book him so I can't get in 😉 he's just too great to gate keep.
