Meet Joey, a friendly New York native who spent his childhood in a charming small town in West Virginia. After graduating from The Temple, a prestigious Paul Mitchell partner school in Frederick, Maryland in 2015, he couldn’t resist the call of the Big Apple and returned the very next day. Over the years, Joey has had the privilege of learning from some of the most esteemed professionals in the beauty industry, including names like Diana Schmidtke, Donald Scott, Rex Faile, Martin Parsons, and many more. Joey is passionate about his work and constantly seeks to learn and grow through regular education with Wella, Oribe, R +Co, and more. He’s also taken on the role of mentor, teaching Junior Stylists and assistants at Shampoo Avenue B, helping them blossom into future stars in the industry. In 2023, Joey took his career to the next level, partnering with Shampoo Avenue B and becoming an owner of their West Village salon. He’s a wizard when it comes to Hand Painted Balayage and all types of Blonde hair, and he absolutely adores a good creative challenge!
